Our Approach — Heart Centered Success
Our approach

Not therapy. Something better for where you're going.

We took what works — clinical training, somatic practice, meaning-making — and removed everything that gets in the way. What's left actually moves people.

From chaos to clarity — here's how we get there.

Most people come to us knowing something is off — in their relationships, their work, themselves. They've often tried to think their way through it. That rarely works. Our approach starts somewhere different: with what's actually happening in your body, your patterns, your present moment — not your history.

From there, we help you see what's running the show. Then we help you change it — not by fixing you, but by building something new alongside you.

1

Get present

We start with what's actually here — not the story about it, but the real live experience underneath. What does your body know that your mind is avoiding?

2

See the pattern

Most chaos has a logic to it — triggers, interpretations, meanings you've been making without realizing it. We make those visible.

3

Build something new

Not insight alone — embodied change. The kind that shows up in your actual relationships, your decisions, your life.

What changes when the guardrails come off.

Traditional therapy is valuable — but it operates inside a set of constraints that can limit what's actually possible. We work without those constraints, which means we can go to places most practitioners can't.

Conventional therapy Heart Centered Success
Aims to reduce suffering — looks to the past for answers Aims to generate meaning — works in the present to build the future
Clinical distance is required — your practitioner can't really know you Real relationship is the work — we show up as full human beings
Diagnosis-first — your experience gets filtered through labels and insurance codes Curiosity-first — we follow where you go with no predetermined path
Bound by geography — if you move, you lose your therapist We work with you wherever you are, physically and emotionally
Practitioners are trained to suppress their own experience in session Our experience is part of the work — we share it when it's useful

Three things we bring to every session.

01

Curiosity over prescription

We don't come to sessions with a plan. We come with presence and genuine curiosity — following your lead, trusting the process. When you sense that your guide has no agenda other than your growth, something opens up. That's where the real work starts.

02

From the inside out

Most people try to think their way to change. We start with the body — with what's present below the level of thought. Real transformation happens when you embody something new, not just understand it. The mind follows; it doesn't lead.

03

Find the beauty in it

Hard work doesn't have to feel like suffering. We've found that the more healed you get, the funnier and lighter life becomes. There's room for real depth and real laughter in the same session — often in the same breath.

What a session actually feels like.

People often come in expecting something clinical — a structured intake, a treatment plan, homework. That's not what this is. Here's what you'll actually experience:

A real conversation

Not a consultation. Not an intake. A genuine exchange between two people — one of whom happens to hold a lot of clarity for the other.

No agenda, no script

We follow where you go. Some sessions go deep fast. Some circle something slowly. Both are right.

Laughter and weight, sometimes in the same breath

The work is serious. The experience doesn't have to be. We've had breakthrough moments mid-laugh.

Something that sticks

You'll walk away with more than insight. You'll feel something shift — and that shift will show up in your life.

Two people in a meaningful conversation
Open space, clarity
"Therapy tends to ask: where did this pain come from? We ask: what do you want to create from here?"
— The HCS approach

Things people ask before they reach out.

Is this therapy?
No — and that's intentional. We're coaches, not licensed therapists. That means we operate without the clinical guardrails that limit what most practitioners can do. We can get in the mud with you, share our own experience, and work with you across geography and time in ways therapy typically can't. If you need clinical support for a diagnosed condition, we'll always tell you that and point you in the right direction.
Do I need to be in crisis to work with you?
Not at all. Some of our best work happens with people who are doing fine on paper but know something is missing — or who can feel the gap between where they are and where they want to be. You don't need a reason beyond wanting more clarity in your life.
How is this different from life coaching?
Most life coaching lives at the level of goals and accountability. We go deeper — into the patterns, triggers, and meaning-making that determine whether any goal actually sticks. We're less interested in what you want to achieve and more interested in who you need to become to live the life you're after.
I've tried therapy before and it didn't really work. Is this different?
Probably, yes. The most common thing we hear from people who've done therapy is that they got insight — they understood their patterns intellectually — but nothing actually changed in their lives. We work from the inside out, which means we're not just building understanding. We're building embodied change that shows up in your real life.
How long does this take?
There's no set timeline. Some people do a handful of sessions and feel a significant shift. Others work with us for a year or more and find it becomes part of how they move through life. We don't lock you into a program — we go at the pace that's right for you.
Do you work remotely?
Yes — and we're built for it. One of the real advantages of working with us versus a traditional therapist is that we're not limited by geography. We work with clients all over the country. If you move, we move with you.
